During this 6-day trip, you will explore one of the oldest botanical medicinal gardens in the world, study botanical medicine at the famed Oxford University, and enjoy educational experiences rooted in the unsurpassed historic experiences of the region. Each step of the way, you’ll enjoy one-on-one time with Franklin Health founder Dr Jessie Hawkins and the rest of the Franklin Health team.
6 Action Packed Days
During this 6-day trip, you will explore Oxford, the "city of dreaming spires," take in the stunning countryside views of Hampshire, and indulge in pampering spa treatments in the ancient town of Bath.
Enjoy one-on-one time with Franklin Health researchers Dr Jessie Hawkins, Christy Hires, MPH, and Elizabeth Dunne, MS, RDN. Tour capacity is limited to 6-10 total participants, depending on the destination.

Your week begins Sunday at 1pm London time with a walking tour through the sites of some of the most noteworthy events in health history. During this exciting excursion, you will learn the behind-the-scenes stories that led to some of the greatest advancements in health. Whether this is your first time in London or you call the city home, you will see this area as never before.
After enjoying some of the greatest medical history sites London has to offer, you will be whisked away by train to one of the most prestigious academic towns in the world: Oxford, England.
Our Study Tours have been completely revamped to ensure you are able to enjoy the sights and educational experiences as safely as possible. Be aware that countries may have new entry requirements which may include covid testing, evidence of a vaccination, or other protocols. Learn more about traveling during covid here.
Plane & Personal Expenses
Registration does not include your airfare to and from England or personal expenses. You will need to travel from your hometown to London (Suggested airport: Heathrow)
All travel inside of England is also included in the cost, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the views knowing that everything is covered!
Registration includes double occupancy accommodations.
If you prefer single occupancy, there is a $400 surcharge. You are given the option to upgrade to single occupancy after registration and will pay the surcharge separately.
Most days conclude with an early dinner–around 6pm–and you are free to explore the cities after that time. Each destination is safe for evening exploration.
You will also have 2 scheduled afternoon free time sessions which allow you to book tours or shop on your own.
We can accommodate gluten-free diets and vegetarian diets.
Meals on the trip range from traditional British pubs to Indian restaurants to Italian indulgences. This provides a wide variety of options for those with restricted diets.
Traveling w/ Spouse or Partner
The more the merrier! Spouses and partners are welcome to join us.
You will be sent a "Getting to Know You" form after registration. This form will ask you about roommate preferences; be sure to indicate your spouse/partner on that form.

Confirm your registration with a $500 nonrefundable deposit. After registration you will receive a confirmation email and a link to complete a survey telling us more about your accommodation preferences and dietary needs. You will receive an invoice for the balance within 2-3 business days; the balance can be paid in full or in installments of your choice any time on or before July 16.
