Cooking with Essential Oils Workshop

February 26, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm CST

Essential oils are known for their potent aromatic qualities, but when it comes to the kitchen, getting it right can be a challenge. In addition to recreating your favorite recipes to utilize the isolated essential oil rather than the whole herb, essential oils pose safety concerns that aren’t found with culinary herbs and spices.

This 4-part workshop details how to incorporate essential oils in your kitchen in a way that is both delicious and safe. From Bergamot Blueberry Pancakes to an essential oil based Whiskey Sour, this workshop is packed with dozens of essential oil recipes plus tips to help you convert your own. The workshop includes a PDF download of the included recipes featuring sweet, savory, and specialty foods.

  • Baking w/ EOs
  • EOs vs Food Flavorings, Natural Herbs, & Spices
  • How to use EOs in drinks without harming the mouth or throat
  • Adjusting your own recipes to use EOs
  • When EOs cannot be substituted for herbs

The workshop is offered LIVE with Dr. Jessie Hawkins. It includes 4 sessions, 1 hour each, starting at 9, 10, 12, and 1pm central time, with a 1 hour break for lunch at 11am. During each session, you are encouraged to interact directly with Dr. Hawkins through the private chat feature; she will address all questions submitted after each of the sessions. You will need high speed internet access to enjoy the live event. It can be accessed from a smart phone, tablet, or computer.

Details to access the workshop will be sent immediately after registration. If you have not received your registration confirmation within one hour, and you have checked your spam/promotions folder, please contact our administrative offices for assistance. Replay Access is sent to all workshop registrants. Because this is a LIVE event, replay access is sent after the event is over and the recording is processed. The replay link will arrive 1-2 days after the event concludes and you will have up to 30 days to download your replay recordings.
