Session 1

To better understand the topic of vaccines, mastering the fundamental sciences of this field is a necessary first step. The session kicks off with an overview of epidemiological research. You will learn more about how vaccines are tested, what outcomes are measured, and how safety is evaluated.

Session 2

The first day continues with an individual overview of each vaccine on the pediatric schedule. This will take place across two sessions, beginning with vaccines for bacterial infections.

Session 3

On day 2, you will begin by continuing to look at each vaccine individually. This will build on your study of the vaccines for bacterial infections by focusing on those which target viral infections.

Session 4

The workshop concludes with afternoon sessions on the covid-19 vaccine, travel-related vaccines, boosters, and other common concerns which are separate from the pediatric schedule.
